In a nutshell, it comes down to 2 things: Materials and Details.
No thin gauge sheet metal. We use .090 or thicker aluminum or steel as the main components in our signs. Therefore, there’ll be no oil-camming, waves or bumps in sign faces that come from us.
No sub-par components. We don’t go the cheap route when it comes to acrylic, vinyl, paint, and LEDs. We pay a premium for quality because that is what our clients need and expect from us. It’s important for the lifetime of the sign and the happiness of the end client. Expanding faces, peeling vinyl or paint, and crappy LEDs won’t be happening on our watch.
No visibly exposed screw heads. Concealed fastening attachments is the only way to go. This is the true test of an architectural sign versus a commercial sign. It takes a little more to look great out there.
Construction concept designs. The initial idea is everything. Designers work hand in hand with clients to create a concept that both achieves the goals of the project (specs, code, budget, etc) and can be constructed. “Design is not just what it looks like. Design is how it works.” -Steve Jobs
Full production drawings. These are created by our in-house designers to show every detail of the construction of the sign. Seams, access panels, structural integrity, power supplies, LED locations, wind-load etc. It’s important to create high-quality construction drawings for our clients to ensure the final product is what they expect.
UL, it’s not just a mark. Image First™ is a UL listed shop. We undergo periodic inspections of both signs that are in production and routine factory compliance to keep up with the UL standards. Learn more about UL 48 here.
Communication. Our team prides itself on effective communication before and during manufacturing, and after installation. We stand behind our products because it’s the right thing to do.
