Fremont Health Medical Center is a 202-bed healthcare facility, serving Dodge and surrounding counties. The Medical Center is comprised of 90 hospital beds with private rooms and 112 beds of long term care, with private and semiprivate rooms. Located in Fremont, Nebraska, on U.S. Hwy. 30, the Medical Center is the only hospital within the county and is adjacent to several medical office buildings and support services. Fremont Health Medical Center is a nonprofit healthcare facility owned by Dodge County, chartered in 1940.
Fremont Health Medical Center was originally named Dodge County Hospital in 1940. Before they rebranded to Fremont Health in 2014, They had undergone five name changes.
This multifaceted project focused on elevating the patient and resident experience along with providing the best possible environment for physicians and staff to work and provide care. With the rebranding of the entire organization, all signage needed to be updated.
A new comprehensive exterior sign master plan was developed, replacing the system we manufactured and installed about 10 years ago. The hospital was looking for an entire exterior package to help better identify entrances and its offerings.
With many upcoming renovations and expansions it was key for the exterior signage to be modular for future growth. Aluminum construction was utilized for durability in this high traffic area of the city. The new sign design replicates the shape of a sail, signaling the moving forward into the future of the hospital.
