Fre­mont Health Med­ical Cen­ter is a 202-bed health­care facil­i­ty, serv­ing Dodge and sur­round­ing coun­ties. The Med­ical Cen­ter is com­prised of 90 hos­pi­tal beds with pri­vate rooms and 112 beds of long term care, with pri­vate and semi­pri­vate rooms. Locat­ed in Fre­mont, Nebras­ka, on U.S. Hwy. 30, the Med­ical Cen­ter is the only hos­pi­tal with­in the coun­ty and is adja­cent to sev­er­al med­ical office build­ings and sup­port ser­vices. Fre­mont Health Med­ical Cen­ter is a non­prof­it health­care facil­i­ty owned by Dodge Coun­ty, char­tered in 1940.

Fre­mont Health Med­ical Cen­ter was orig­i­nal­ly named Dodge Coun­ty Hos­pi­tal in 1940. Before they rebrand­ed to Fre­mont Health in 2014, They had under­gone five name changes.

About The Solution

This mul­ti­fac­eted project focused on ele­vat­ing the patient and res­i­dent expe­ri­ence along with pro­vid­ing the best pos­si­ble envi­ron­ment for physi­cians and staff to work and pro­vide care. With the rebrand­ing of the entire orga­ni­za­tion, all sig­nage need­ed to be updated. 

A new com­pre­hen­sive exte­ri­or sign mas­ter plan was devel­oped, replac­ing the sys­tem we man­u­fac­tured and installed about 10 years ago. The hos­pi­tal was look­ing for an entire exte­ri­or pack­age to help bet­ter iden­ti­fy entrances and its offerings.

With many upcom­ing ren­o­va­tions and expan­sions it was key for the exte­ri­or sig­nage to be mod­u­lar for future growth. Alu­minum con­struc­tion was uti­lized for dura­bil­i­ty in this high traf­fic area of the city. The new sign design repli­cates the shape of a sail, sig­nal­ing the mov­ing for­ward into the future of the hospital.
